The Brown-Smith Family is the third episode of series 3 of the British Supernanny show.

Synopsis[]

Watch out Warrington! Supernanny's in town and taking on two troublemaking brothers, seven-year-old Louis and five-year-old Rhys.

They get into squabbles, fight, swear, and have no respect for their mother. The walk to school is dangerous as the boys have been known to throw stones at cars and run into the road. At bedtime, the boys sleep in their mother's bed which leaves Simon sleeping on the couch.

The boys obviously wreak havoc for mum Steph --------But when overbearing and moody dad Simon's around it's a different story, the boys are polite and obedient. Baby Lucie must be wondering what sort of a family she's been born into.

The battle to control these badly behaved boys is only half of Supernanny's challenge. She's really got problems when their body building doorman dad decides he's had enough of Jo´s interference.

Full Synopsis[]

Observation[]

After Jo arrives it is time for the boys to go to school. The boys throw stones, and run into the middle of the street. Lewis even threw a stone at someone's car and ran into his neighbor's property. Steph eventually gets fed up and shouts in Rhys's face angrily Jo is livid by the boys behavior. When the boys return from school they roughhouse and fool around, Rhys farts on Louis´s foot. Simon comes home from work scolds the boys, after, he goes off to the gym and the boys wreak havoc once again, Rhys runs out of the the house, drinks from the water fountain on their lawn and the shower. Steph manages to get the boys to sit and eat their Banana Flavored Quaker Oatmeal. Steph pours her heart out to Jo about how hard it is to take care of the children on her own especially the boys. When Simon returns from the gym, he catches the boys roughhousing, he demands they leave the house, the boys apologize profusely. Simon then cleans the house in an OCD manner then leaves for his second job. While the boys are playing the game Don't Spill The Beans, Louis loses, gets angry and throws the games at Rhys. As bedtime approaches, the boys are still fooling around, Steph turns on the TV for them and allows them to drift off. At 9pm, the boys are sleeping on the couch. Louis sleeps with his mom and Rhys sleeps in his bunk. Simon returns from his second job and sleeps on the couch with a cup of beer.

Family Test Run[]

The first morning without Supernanny, Louis and Rhys misbehave on the walk to school by running in the street and kicking things, at one point Louis spews out "What a pair of bunch of f****t" Steph has no control. The next day, the boys are battling with Steph to be the boss. Steph tries to pull Louis out of a corner She pokes him in the eye accidentally causing him to cry she warns him about his misbehavior. He calls her an idiot and lands himself in the Penalty Spot. Rhys also kicks off and tries to pick a fight with mum and is placed in the kitchen. Louis escapes his timeout 5 times, Rhys also follows suit and escapes his timeout, Louis finally relents and apologizes but Rhys tells his mum to "Shut up" and refuses to apologize. Throughout the days the boys continue to be disrespectful and disobedient towards Steph, they talk-back, and even run off to the local park without permission. When the boys get into a toy fight they insult each-other saying bastard and f*ck off. Rhys goes to snitch and both boys end up in a timeout. During timeout Rhys cries and punches himself in the head repeatedly. Rather than keeping quiet, Simon threatens to "throw him out the front door" and Steph tells him to keep quiet which results in a brief argument. Later at bedtime the boys refuse to settle down, SImon goes in and threatens to put them on the Penalty Spot, and take their toys away, the boys respond and go to sleep. All of Jo's techniques have gone out the window and the family has hit rock bottom.

Trivia[]

This episode wasn't liked due to Simon's strict and demanding temper to his sons.
In one scene, one of the boys were naked and for some reason, their butt wasn't censored when on Supernanny, nudity has to be censored.
None of the swear words are censored, even f****t (homosexual) .

During playtime, the boys were playing Operation a board game.
Louis was wearing Madagascar themed pajamas.
Louis also wore Spiderman themed pajamas.
In the Observation, Louis and Rhys were playing Don't Spill The Beans.
Steph and the boys were playing the board game, Don't Wake Daddy in the Reinforcement.

Behind The Scenes[]

This was filmed from May 26th-June 12th 2006.
Simon and Stephanie divorced sometime after this. The kids rarely see their father.
Louis became a drug addiction.
Louis became engaged to an unknown woman
Louis had a son named Oliver John Brown on September 18, 2019, But due to Louis's weed addiction Oliver and Louis's fiancee moved away, ever since Louis got himself together.
